Here is this year’s Valentine that I came up with. I even sent it to some of my male friends.
Valentine – be Mine
Before I say: Valentine be mine
I need to stop and define
Who is a Valentine?
A Valentine is someone special
Who makes me want to spend
Quality time with
And makes me want to do
Special things for
And makes me want to share
Experiences with.
But a Valentine is also special
By making me feel special.
I love how that person
Makes me feel about myself,
How I feel about my dreams,
And about my involvements
With life and with my Valentine.
I love to feel special
And my Valentine helps
Me to feel that way.
And that’s why I feel
So special about my
Special Valentine.
Now, Valentine, please be mine.
David

Happy V Day
Love and Peace
I loved it when I read it before, and I love it again. Happy day for you.
nice to define things, makes all the difference sometimes huh? happy day!
I like this, Happy V-Day!
@llibra - Thanks LLibra. I hope you caught your “dear”.
@ZSA_MD - Thanks Zsa. That’s why I sent you a preview – a personal view.
@And_I_love - Definitely definitions decide
@isingstupidsongs - I’m glad you liked this.
Oh, OK
beautiful poem…..you have such a way with words. i feel like it was especially for me…hugs
@LUNAPHIA - You should have felt that way. That’s why I sent you your own special delivery version.
i dont know whats wrong with me….i dont feel lovie…
@LUNAPHIA - Do you think you’re supposed to ALL the time? That’s normal and natural. I still love you even when you don’t feel “lovie”. I never said I ONLY love you when you are “lovie”.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. You’re still a sweetheart.
Hello David,
You made your site simple yet elegant. The music player and pictures are a nice touch. I see that you have a wide variety of interests and observations here!
I like to write articles about Jehovah God on my site to help people to really get to know Him and His plans for us, especially in these troubled times. 4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: (Isaiah 26:4) (KJV)
awe great poem! im glad do see that you sent it to some people! i wrote a poem but me and my bf have just been dating for a month so i was embarassed to show it to him
maybe ill post it sometime
I enjoyed this even more than before.
Happy Valentine’s.
@SignificanceOfTheMightyClit - I think you know me well enough to know this is “me”.
Hey David, I know probably think I haven’t been reading your blog much….so far from true! I tend to read most blogs from my subs and only comment when I think I have something to say that might be better than just the usual blather I put out, lol.
This is so very good!
But really, your blog has been so inspiring and good this past year! Lord…so good I been often left without a thing to ad or say about it, so I’ve been just reading and letting it stand at what it is, which is great.
Sorry if this tendancy of mine has left you feeling like I’m neglecting, because that is far from true. I admire you greatly.
Hugs,
Heather
this is beautiful, and well-written!

Thanks for reading my writings and the comments.
I also thank you, David, for sending this poem to me. I have commented in email, but I also would like to add on that I still think its a very candid and splendid piece of writing – despite re-reading it a few times.
I also love your header alot. Did you do it yourself? Along with the mystickal background. I am going to haunt your site more often than you’d welcome. Just for the good writings and lovely background.
I wish I would have seen this sooner – it’s terrific.
@dikdoktor - I’m glad you like it. Thanks.
Next valentine maybe…
