The Words of Feelings
The Words of Feelings
Sweetheart, words flood my mouth And tumble out as white water rapids, Uncontrollable, multi-directional, and wild. My words have no meaning except As they receive meaning through you. You bless them, you honor them, And I am blessed and honored by you. My words rush to their true source And are made pacific by your grace. You take these droplets, And weave them as cocoons of silk. As they become beautifully metamorphosed Into multi-colored satiny raiments Suitable for the vestments of naked gods. Feelings are viewed through the prism of words And this spectrum then becomes songs, Albeit, A playground cacophony Of multi-timbre sounds. Again, in your presence, these become Odes to the joys of each color of the rainbow. Magnificats paying homage to virtues Revealed in your struggles for life. Disguising your hardships by your zest. These songs shall be captured in a book With each page being a shining lamp To reveal the enlightenment one woman Can promote in the mind of one man. This sacred hymnal shall be placed Next to our love-making bed Which will sing through its springs And celebrate the songs of O. Purple passions and ruby reds Shall shower us from head to foot As we bathe in the harmony of each other. Our opus of crescendos and decrescendos Will symphonize as we synthesize Our dialectical shared experiences. All this shall be A paean to thee. Curiousdwk

excellent work
@godfatherofgreenbay - Thanks. I’m glad you liked it even thought it is a rather stilted classic style but in a free form.
The 1st song that started playing on your player below was “Lost” by Michael Buble. It is one of the saddest and more meaningful and favorite songs ever, in my opinion and for me.
As I go through life, I try not to be self-focused, assume things are about me, or for/to me. Yet for the most of my reading time of this poem, I found myself seeing all the parallels between our other conversations. I couldn’t help but hear you talking to me again, one more time, trying to help me see that something good can come from my life, that I have a purpose, that my life will touch someone else. Until you got to the end… :-O …um…yeah, then you lost me. :-p lol. Nicely written friend.
Feelings of a dream, sounds too perfect to be true.
man, this is great work.
@roscoes_farm - Thanks man. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
@an_OM_aly - Isn’t that the definition of “love”? Too perfect to be true? Thanks.
@beneath_this_mask - A Dialectic is where you have a force (thesis), usually a primary force, getting “smacked” by a second force (antithesis) resulting in the primary force being sent in a different direction and with a different velocity (synthesis). Think of a pool ball travelling in a direction with a velocity and getting hit by a second pool ball with its own direction and velocity. The synthesis, or resultant, will be the new direction and new velocity of the first pool ball.
So if I have my direction and velocity while going through life, and meet another with her direction and velocity of life, I am going to be different, (the synthesis) which will result in a new direction and velocity for me. Does that help?
I’m glad you enjoyed the beginning. Thanks.
I love the song. Michael Buble captured my heart with his first song. His music does wonders for my soul. The poem is as breathtaking as the picture that comes before it. Beautifully done!!
whole lot of wow.
This is so good. Like it a lot.
@ZSA_MD - Thanks so mch Zsa. As you can see, I had some fun with the extended metaphors.
Expressive words.
@RestlessButterfly - Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed this.
Thanks for visiting site – Ive missed you too.
This write, was splendid… so rich in imagery – from silk to sounds to sadness back into pleasure….if I’d ever wondered how words alone could express so much feelings, this poem has just answered my question
‘
@persephone_winter - Thanks for the glowing affirmation. Words of emotions are much more effective at moving people rather than words of reason. I’m looking at more from you now that you’re back.
Beautiful words!!
@soonaquitter - Thanks. And again – it’s good to see you back.
Thank you-I haven’t written poetry i n so long, I think I have forgotten how?! :/
@soonaquitter - I’m sure you knack for poetry would come back if you reflected and treid. You were being rather poetic in your longing to move to California. (smile)
Just lovely!!!!
@ExposedWrists - Thanks. And I love your icon message.
Very, very expressive.
@RestlessButterfly - Thanks. I’m glad you liked this.
By the way, I love your new profile pic
That’s like one deep weave…. and this is coming from someone who is full of words as well….
@DislocatedTexan@ireallylikefood - Thanks. I’m glad you liked it. I had fun weaving the different extended metaphors together.
Most beautiful!
Always the wordsmith. LOL! You paint some beautiful pictures of the feelings. If these words were all buried into a piece of music, into the feeling, without all the words, what piece of music would it be for you?
@songoftheheart - Wow. Thanks for the effusive compliment. What piece of music? Perhaps Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov.
When I was a metal worker, we used to lighten the day by singing “Filings, all I have is filings.
beautiful imagery, even more beautiful meaning – sacred, sensual, sentimental and sad… all the necessary elements of a powerful write.
p.s. when do we get to read your new works?
